It’s been awhile since my last blog entry and so much has happened. In November Sean Kilgus, the Defy crew and I headed down to Mexico for a week of filming and fun with the Monster Mexico crew. Danny, Shane, Benny G and Watson absolutely killed it on the Rio Bravo River. Monster hooked us up with a bus and heli shoot in Monterrey.

Welp, I am a girl living in Manila who has a day time job of an accountant but my real passion is photography. Ive been messing with it ever since I was a kid and I've found that I'm pretty decent at Sport Photography as well as Fashion Photography. Ive decided to join the wakeboarding Mag.com after my conversation with my friend Jono Boysen,(the one responsibly for nick davies HD pro camera shoot). He basically told me to take the risk and post my photos and let it be seen by the public.

I am an NJ rider and our season is quickly coming to an end. I head down to Miami a few times during the offseason and I'm looking for a pull. Happy to supply money for gas, beers, food, whatever. If anyone knows riders in the area that fit the mold, please let me know. Also, if there is a camp in the area, that would work to. Thanks.

My favorite place to buy wakeboarding/wakeskating gear is definitely Woly Board Company:
http://www.wolyboardcompany.com
But another really cool site is iWake, which is a social network just for wakeboarders/wakeskaters!

Had an experience yesterday that I wanted to share with the wake world. It has less to do with my connection to the industry's movers and shakers and much more to do with my own immediate world with my kids.
The world of towed watersports has long championed itself as being a blissful family bonding experience. You're out in a boat in a controlled social environment, far removed from the typical daily distractions of a TV, piled laundry or chores and domestic responsibilities. You're out on the water and the pure focus is on having fun.

Most people know this piece of trivial knowledge, the origin of wakeboarding trick names. It goes a little sumpin' like this- if you're the first person to pull off a new move, you are burdened with the requirement to give it a name. Don't call it what it is-come up with something representative. The Iron Cross, the Big Worm, Vulcan, Krypt, KGB, Moby Dick- the list goes on and on. While new moves are fewer these days than they were a few years ago, they still spring up from time to time and traditional naming process gets underway.

The Soven brothers scored a MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour first, with each winning his respective divisions at stop # 4 in Elizabethtown, KY. Competing in the Jr Pro Mens division, Robert proved again he's the best of the field in 2009, winning his 4th consecutive event of the Jr Pro division this year. He faced off with a formidble foe in Mitch Langfield and others in the finals but he once again found himself holding the winners hardware.
