Lots is happening for the "Move of the Year" title this season. We've got moves that have never been done before, scheduled photo shoots for new attempts, legends of the sport inquiring about the deadline, etc. Looks like we will be able to announce some incentive pretty soon as well. As usual, there is an award for both wakeboarding and wakeskating. The wakeskating action is incredible like always, and the wakeboarders really stepped it up overall compared to other years, and we are still 1.5 months until deadline.

Got to ride with Rusty and Danny today in Clermont, just the three of us after a photo shoot Rusty was doing with Spencer Smith. Dan and I weren't sure who wanted to go first, so he ran with it and laid down a really inspiring run... He's just getting over a back injury and his riding looked sick!

JUST ANOTHER GREAT THING ABOUT LIVING IN ORLANDO Okay, if you're from Orlando, you might be on the edge of your seat right now, but this is pretty good. We were trying to decide what to do Saturday night, and while the threat of going downtown was still very much front of mind despite the incomplete recovery from the Fourth, we landed on hitting up the cable to ride until midnight. Talk about a good time. The air is cool enough that you don’t feel overheated, but the water is warm enough that it feels like a bath. Pretty weird contrast.

I had a cool experience yesterday out on my Malibu. I took 2 professional Drifter race car drivers come out for their first experience wakeboarding. "JR Gittin and Chris Forsberg, two of the top names in drifter racing, were in New Jersey for one of their National series races and had an extra day to do something out of the norm. Chabin Mullen, who formerly produced the MasterCraft Pro Wakebord Tour shows, now produces the drifter car race series and knew I was close to where their race was.

So, a great year for water on the west coast. Mt. Hood still has a 111'' base, the local river here in Portland is flowing nicely, and our lakes are full. That means a solid season ahead. It also means Shasta Lake (note: I didn't say Lake Shasta) will be party central for many months to come. Nick Jones and Robby Carter have a tripped planned starting June 9th to stick some photos and take on the massive lake and its intense wake vibe. And the OBRIEN team including Josh Sanders and Daniel Watkins will also be sessioning the great west coast lake in the next two weeks.

Seriously, I just love referring to my beloved home state as the "Dirty Jersey!"
Sunday was a perfect day for riding on the Rancocas Creek- cloudless skies, no windy, and the air temp of 78 helped offset the chilly 63 degree water to the point where we could ride with wetsuits. The day wa sa good day.

Back from Germany and over the jet lag. What a great trip it was. Riding in another country is always a blast, because you experience a completely different vibe and lifestyle. It’s easy to adapt when you’re a rider, since everyone your hanging out with on the boat or at a cable has the same mindset – wakeboarding.
